My brother has an old MacBook pro laying around his house (belonged to his ex wife)

我兄弟家里躺着一台老 MacBook Pro（他前妻的）

Is there a way to clear and repurpose it somehow? I always remembered MacBook aging well and hardware holding up but can I still use this a a regular streaming/browsing machine or basic office work stuff (probably just writing desu to keep less distracted from my main PC)
