Sorry to bombard with 2 top posts, I just wanted to check in to tell you all that I've separated out the ice cube trays in the freezer. Both are placed away from any vents blowing cold air. Both trays now work at PERFECTLY producing intact, lovely ice cubes. The stacking of the both trays in front of the icy air vent was the problem all these years.
