I live in China, and here people can often guess where someone is from based on their accent, dialect, or small differences in the way they speak. It made me wondered about the US. Do Americans usually notice when someone is from a different state, or are those differences not that obvious?
我住在中国,这边的人常常能凭口音、方言或者说话方式上的细微差别猜出对方是哪里人。这让我好奇美国是不是也这样。美国人一般能听出对方来自别的州吗,还是这种差别没那么明显?
