Yes. There's a couple things happening.
1. People really slack off in these companies, I'm talking real slackers. Musk was unironically right about one thing, it doesn't take 10000+ people to run a company. You can reduce a company's headcount by 70% and after a couple weeks of lag, you'll be back to routine operation.
2. This was obvious but they over hired during covid.
3. AI is giving some gains it has definitely made coding cheap and increased some amount of productivity, which again reduce the number of people required to keep systems up.

No, I dont think it is, LLM generated coding is very expensive. In my small company the developers all have $20 codex plans, and in this month alone the tokens they used at API pricing would cost $3200, in not really willing to pay to oAI $10000 extra as the performance is pretty much the same, despite the code being sloppier and the developers losing the grasp on the codebase (I can see it already on code reviews with frequent code duplication, and so on).
Also, I tried it myself, if you tediously guide the expensive model (Astra) you can get some ok results, but if you want to be "cheap" and use something like Lua or Terra you quickly see that they are useless.

If you want to turn them into "ok shit you can sell" that will be a few more tokens, and naturally problems will appear (as they do even with human handcrafted things) how are we supposed to solve these problems if we have no deep knowledge of the system innerworkings? This could be something like "this 3d asset has too much poligons" or "this specific websocket event is arriving at the wrong order" Could we just prompt the solutions away? Don't seem to be the case, at least for now, as we have barelly any robust "vibe-coded" software.

Just yesterday I did some work using Astra. It was really good at producing example implementations of the sort of algorithms I need which is great because without AI my manual workflow would've taken probably weeks. It started to stumble when I gave it things that don't really exist in public code, and bear in mind I have very stringent performance requirements. Now of course a regular dev would also fail if required to do the same thing with no context. So it seems knowledge for which there is barely any training data is still a formidable moat for both AI and humans.

Pretty much everything outside software requires huge upfront capital to be able to get a first customer. After that you can generate capital all you want the normal way, but until then you're screwed. It's also not the kind of capital you can get if you're not born into wealth or 70 years old with a house to remortgage at full equity at least.

That money is sometimes needed as soon as the prototype phase, following discovery, business planning (nobody cares about that nowadays either) and LOIs.

In other businesses, you can do a prototype but can't make an MVP without that money and nobody will pay upfront without the prototype.
In other businesses still you can do the MVP but can't distribute without mass production capacity, and can't generate enough capital to afford mass production in a lifetime. As you can't produce fast enough, the audience just vanishes before you even get there.

That's all the tech bros though. Also why the aifags think they can get into biology with 0 biology knowledge and make a difference, then fail at the first contact with the wetlab and go bankrupt overnight.

Yes. Even the biggest copers are starting to admit it and are moving full time to entertainment.
There are still copers around, but if you look closely, they ALWAYS sell coding courses (which are now completely useless and obsolete, aside for historical interest).
tldr, coding is completely useless in 2026.
>But muh special big boy job with muh embedded devices or other copes
