That is absolutely incorrect. Most millennials, gen x and boomers I know will demand to have Windows, refuse to even try out macOS and don't even know Linux exist. It all depends on people's tech literacy and their exposure to things that aren't Windows (which was very low for anyone above 30, at least in EU where Apple is less relevant compared to US).
