it was really a reaction to indians. i joined db9 back in the day through a dnb forum and got into everything from there, but over time trackers needed some way to be able to manage everyone who wanted free shit and couldn't behave appropriately. of course with that you ended up with typical powertripping mods and all that, but largely trackers were and still are pretty friendly.

For proof look at what happened when WCD died. WFM was the established "backup tracker". Instead of migrating there, the leftover WCD staff split up into RED and OPS.
