You really have to believe that over time states/currencies will crumble and people will run to BTC as a way to protect their savings. And then I guess people will actually start using BTC for daily transactions.
Fundamentally BTC isn't suited to the latter though. It just isn't grandma safe.

What I meant is that in a large scale crash where everyone is in the shitter together that's bad for BTC as people will more likely exit their crypto positions at the same time for the same reasons. But if they fail irregularly, then the rest of the world holds BTC up and provide a stable alternative.
