How much of that is in the top 10% (not lower class) though?
>>62597421

I imagine easily less than 40% invest in stocks at all so that's actually a pretty grim stat.

it'll never be 100% though and i don't know why people think it will be. china, NK, and russia are like 40% of the world's population and they all have banned it for their citizens.

Just asked ChatGPT about NFTs.
>At the peak of the NFT bubble, an estimated 0.005–0.03% of the world’s population likely owned NFTs.

Most of the 10% are getting exposure through their 401k. There are like 4 groups of people in society
>altcoin traders/gamblers (usually broke)
>Bitcoin maxis
>Crypto haters (either got burned by a shit coin or just heard it's a scam on the news)
>Don't know/don't care (most people)
Most normies would rather gamble with poly market or sports betting so it's probably as good as it will get

The average person who dipped their toes during the peak got burned bad. Even supposedly safer picks like link, xrp and btc has yielded pretty shitty returns. Besides boomers investing through etfs whose really buying crypto or talking about it. I here current and former BTC maxies talk about BTC on podcasts but they talk about it like its in a gulag in Siberia on a 10 year bid, quietly relishing the past and praying that it returns some day.
If gold is consolidating off a blow off top, crypto is banished until people forget the past.
Okay but it’s better to compare how many people in the world is investing in stock market.

I'm in a similar spot. So is a friend I know, and I've seen other poasters in a similar spot. Which makes me have this dreadful feeling... what if $1m isn't worth shit in like... 3 years? Like, I can't even buy a nice house in my area with $1m.
