As they should. Better yet would be to use treasury bonds to buy hardware from US military contractors. That way, Japan would unload some of its shitty bonds, strengthen its defense, use the money it saved to pull yen from the market, and the military contractor lobby would tell the US government to shut up about it. But nobody listens to me.
