I bought a house 1 year ago. It’s on a very charming street in Canadian city (Montreal).

我一年前买了套房。在加拿大（蒙特利尔）一条非常有味道的街上。

I was charmed by the area, but i knew when buying that the house needed some repair. I am now one year in the project and I see no end to it…

我当时被这个街区迷住了，但买的时候我也知道房子需要翻修。现在一年过去了，项目看不到头……

I am now convinced i bought a sinking ship… i’ve already putted 200k on the house, and I am still very far from done.

我现在确信自己买了一艘沉船……我已经往这房子投了20万，还远没到头。

What should i do about this sinking ship? I think i’d need many years to get back all my money when selling, but the house is falling appart so fast, i don’t think waiting many years is a good idea…

这艘沉船我该怎么办？我觉得卖的话得花好多年才能回本，但这房子坏得太快了，拖着等几年我觉得不是好主意……

Montreal is okay, but the city is slowly turning in an homeless ghetto. I see people living in tent and shitting in back alley almost every day lol.

I live in an area with lots of big trees, it’s very green. I see skunk and rscoon daily.

Houses are old (mine was built in 1955).

What is great with Montreal/ Quebec in general is the low number of pajeet. I mean we still have plenty of Aladdin flying carpet migrants, but not much pajeet tandoori peddler.

蒙特利尔/魁北克整体很棒的一点是pajeet很少。我是说我们还是有不少阿拉丁飞毯移民，但没什么tandoori小贩那种pajeet。

ASAP fix the windows and doors to weather proof it. As long as the plumbing and heating works and you can cook and live just put off the rest till next summer and save your money. Do more planning you might be over your head now but can save it.

赶紧修窗户和门做好防水。只要水管和暖气能用、能做饭能住，其他的拖到明年夏天再弄，先攒钱。多规划一下，你现在可能有点吃不消，但能救回来。

Yes, but problems were hidden. I have problem with the brick, windows are shit and fondation need some love. Also, the heathpump gave up on life yesterday. I am getting the fondation and windows done before winter ($$), I’ll probably have the heathpump changed also.

做过，但问题藏得太深。砖墙有问题，窗户烂得不行，地基也需要修。另外热泵昨天直接报废了。我要在冬天前搞定地基和窗户（$$），热泵估计也得换。

Houses cost 900k+ you retard. Also, not all house are on a dead end street with 0 traffic, within 4 minutes walk from subway stations and have a garage.

房子要90万以上好吗你傻啊。而且不是所有房子都在零车流的死胡同里、步行4分钟到地铁站还有车库。

How should I manage the situation? Take the loss and sell? Keep putting more dollars in the house ans hope that maybe one day I see my money back?

Godspeed anon. Structural issues suck. I bought quite a lemon here in hungary, a vacation home. Floors all shit (filled with loos sand seriously), but because it is a appartment i dont need to worry about the external skin. Took massive amount of effort but is oke now after at least 3 months continious work. ----> What is the problem, the budget to do it or time ? Fix first anything that can ruin the house like leaking roofs and faulty foundations etc. The rest to make pretty on the inside can wait

祝楼主好运。结构性问题确实让人头疼。我在匈牙利买了个度假公寓，算是踩坑了。地板全烂了（里面全是松沙，真的），但因为是公寓，外墙倒不用操心。费了老大的劲，连续干了至少三个月才算弄好。----> 问题出在哪儿，是预算不够还是时间不够？先把会毁掉房子的隐患解决掉，比如漏水屋顶、地基有问题之类的。其余内部美化的事可以往后放。
