In my High School days I rode the vocational bus with another kid who worked PT at a warehouse for a local import/distrubutor of (mainly) bananas and a few other fruits and veg. He told us the owners office was upstairs there and he had a rack of about 20 small glass aquariums where he kept a lot of tarantulas and some scorpions and lizards that would sometimes make it in past customs inspections hidden in the boxes. Said he let the warehouse guys keep them sometimes but the owner had the right of first refusal.
