Kratom Addiction Intervention Etiquette?

My cousin is a former addict but I believe he is developing a duplicate addiction to Kratom. When is an intervention appropriate? Such a sad story, disabled vet, injured in Gulf war, back surgery, pain killers, then heroin. Wife left him and she moved back east. He got clean last year using Kratom, but to me, seems like another dangerous substance. He doesn't have anybody looking out for him, so I feel strongly about reaching out.

is addictive but since you can buy it over the counter, some people don't realize it. It can also have some horriblle side effects. It requires medical help to safely deal with the addiction. Not sure if tf the VA would help or not but do try to get him to seek professional help. He does have someone looking out for him: YOU! Thank you for caring!
