Files not recovered from Icloud deletions

I was cleaning up an old Macbook Air and didn't realize I was deleting the files from all my devices as well. Genius bar recovered some via Data Recovery and Restore Deleted Files. But many fles never came back. Mac Support on the phone had no answers

If they are really important, you really should have a 2nd type of backup, not just iCloud.

IOW have a copy NOT connected to any of your devices this way there's no way they can be erased in the manner you used.

I personally keep a minimum of two copies of all my files plus the original, one onsite and one offsite as an example.
