My wife of 13 years literally walked out on Easter Sunday, and filed for divorce. Sure we've been having issues for the past few years, but damn... Just up and left. We've threatened it before during some of the more heated arguments, but now that it's really happening....It's a reality I'm not sure I'm ready for. We had the best 10 years, literally I would say to myself how lucky I was and I knew, just knew we would make it all the way till the end. So what hsppened you ask. She suffers from depression and wanted to go off her meds a few years ago, and has been on and off, and throw in some increased drinking.... She's damn near not the same human. It's like everything we used to do and enjoy together, like riding bikes, swimming, going for walks, just hanging out listening to music she's just pulled away from it all. Really just wants to listen to her audio books and be left alone. In her words, she needs "down time"...... Since she's off her meds she's literally devolving, and just wants to stay inside and watch Netflix or whatever. The shitty part for me is, I didn't build out a social network over the good years, b/c she was all I needed, so now I'm just fucked. At 54 (fortunately/unfortunately no kids...) so I'm staring down the barrel of starting all the fuck over again... NOT what I want to be doing.
