A developer has successfully ported Linux to run natively on an Espressif ESP32-S3 microcontroller, specifically the ESP32-S3-WROOM-3 E1H16R16V module, using Sv32 virtual memory, Supervisor mode, and Execute-in-Place (XIP) with a Buildroot userspace.
