Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy asked the head of intelligence to replace his longtime top aide, who resigned five weeks ago amid a corruption investigation. Zelenskiy offered the post of chief of his office to Kyrylo Budanov, who has led Ukraine's military intelligence since 2020. Budanov's appointment might help ease political pressure on Zelenskiy by entrusting a key role to a prominent figure among the military, a group widely respected in Ukraine.
