A global selloff in long-dated bonds — including 30-year UK gilts, US Treasuries and Japanese government bonds — has deepened. Developed economies around the world are dealing with concerns about inflation and demographics, domestic politics and geopolitics. Bloomberg Economics' Jamie Rush says what we're seeing this week is part of a larger trend: some investors are losing confidence in their leaders over the long-term and it's softening demand to buy into those governments' long-dated bonds.
